Before you start
Measurement instructions varies for every garment, so it is recommended to carefully read the instructions specific to measuring sari blouse, churidar/salwar, and lehenga.
Things you'll need
- Soft tape measure
- Print out of measurement form
- Particular Instructions
When you start taking measurements, make sure that you hold the tape flat against the body, comfortable enough so not to hang it downward limply. It should neither be too tight nor too loose. When taking measurements, make sure you wear the same inner wear or body shaper you'll be wearing at the day of event. If you do not have the inner wear or body shaper yet, then wear the closest approximation. It is recommended to measure to the closest half inch.
Please let a professional dressmaker take your measurements, so as to be sure of the accuracy. In case you cannot get to the professional, let someone else take your measurements.
